520 Sarnia Road

This exciting new residential development, which has 129 units, is located in suburban London, Ontario. The long, narrow site on a busy arterial road and in front of a low-density, residential neighbourhood required a design that responded to a variety of contrasting contexts. The project boasts over 100,000 sq. ft. of gross floor area over 8 storeys but acts as a transitional mass from Sarnia Road through to the townhouses to the rear. Conceived as an upscale student condominium the building contains an equal mix of one- and two-bedroom units and a full range of building amenities. The distinctive podium base and heavily textured façade resulted from extensive review and discussions of the project with municipal staff.
